I met my first shark when I was 8. They have been my good friends since then. My early work (PhD) in sharks focused on population genetics, mainly in the pacific ocean but with collaborators from around the world. I spent over a thousand hours close and personal with large bull sharks in Fiji, learning how they think, behave, react and live.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I lead the company Shark Solutions, where I solve the complex problem of how humans and sharks share the ocean. Most governments currently manage this through guesswork or fear, which creates a lot of public pressure and political stress. Using our own specialized technology, decades of experiences working with sharks through an extended network, I provide a better way. This moves the conversation away from emotional panic and toward calm, integrated decisions. By relying on our approach, governments can finally show their citizens a logical plan that works, effectively ‘unloading’ the mental stress and media pressure that usually follows an incident. I help leaders regain control of their coastlines with a smart, modern approach that protects both the people and the environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I have 10 hours+ of powerpoint presentations and talks about sharks, and given courses and conferences on many occasion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I wrote Le Monde des Requins<\/a> for Vizavi, a child’s book about sharks focused at Mauritius island.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
